Find yourself dragging your feet on a Monday, dreading the week ahead? If you’re wishing it could be different then read on:
Taking some time to “prepare” on a Sunday evening makes all the difference.
Here are a few simple steps that can kick of your week positively:
✨
WRITE IT DOWN✨??✨
Writing down key tasks that you would like to accomplish is powerful. Research shows that you’re 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down! Take 5 to 10 minutes to write down a few significant tasks for the next day and for the week that will make for a productive one. An added bonus is the sense of accomplishment of ticking it off once done!
✨
VISUALISE THE OUTCOME✨
If you’ve watched my last video, you will understand the power of the imagination. Basically, the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real and imagined event. Top athletes are taught this trick and regularly visualise a positive outcome of their big event.
Take a few moments to imagine the next day and the activities you have scheduled. Imagine yourself waking up feeling rested and invigorated and then moving through each part of your day with ease. Visualise a positive outcome for each of your tasks.
At first, this may feel strange but once you get used to it, be prepared for the huge impact it makes on how your day unfolds.✨?✨
GET QUALITY REST✨
This may seem like an obvious one. But don’t underestimate the power of a good night of rest. Research shows that quality of sleep during the time before midnight is far superior to that of after midnight.
During these precious hours, your mind and body have a chance to repair and heal itself and recover from the stress of the day. Not only will you feel more focused and alert the next day, your immune system will thank you for it by fending off any pathogens and harmful invaders. Sleeping earlier is key to starting your Monday off on a good note.
Have a cut off time for your mobile devices?, sip on a soothing warm drink ? and wind down before bed to make sure you get some valuable shut-eye!
✨
Hope these tips help you have a more productive and enjoyable week. If you do implement any of these steps I would love your feedback. And if you have some of your own tips please feel free to share them.
